Regional Director Lourdes P. Estioco inducted the new set of labor management cooperation (LMC) officers of SC Reservations-Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) on March 2, 2015 at the boardroom of IHG. Dir. Estioco and LEO III Maggie B. Balagtey also witnessed the signing of the Workplace Cooperation and Partnership memorandum of agreement, which strengthens the LMC committees of the company.
A business process outsourcing, IHG yearly elects 2-co-chairpersons to represent the management and the 600 workforce to the Social Committee, the LMC version of this call center. The four existing committees on recreation and travel, sports, environment and outreach and family are working closely to improve the skills and talents of the employees.
The Learning Committee was recently created to cater to the development of general communication skills of the employees. The committee’s project is the “Read to Live” which aims to read stories to children of day-care centers located near the Camp John Hay Reservation.
Dir. Estioco enthused the officers to do their functions with passion and commitment. She encouraged the IHG Social Committee to join the 2015 Search for Outstanding LMC for Industrial Peace.
HR Manager Donna Liza Boncan also challenged the new set of officers when she said “keep the Social Committees active and more successful; to engage everyone’s participation; and have more fun!”
