Four (4) establishments in the Cordillera Administrative Region were declared winners in the 2017 Regional Search for Outstanding LMCs.  The companies were Benguet Electric Cooperative (Aspulan) for the unionized category, the Manor at Camp John Hay (Dap-ayan ti John Hay), SC Reservations-International Hotels Group  (Silid)  and SN Aboitiz Power-Benguet, Inc. (Kaibigan Committee) for the non-unionized category of the search. . 

The Search was launched in March  2017. This is to recognize the significant role of Labor-Management Cooperation (LMC) program in company productivity and competitiveness, improvement of workers’ welfare, and maintenance of harmonious labor-management relations.

Said companies will compete with the other regional winners in the national level. Finalists will vie for the National Awards to be selected by the National Board of Judges. Winners will be presented during the 11th National LMC Convention on November 23-24, 2017 at the Grand Convention, Cebu City.

Over the year, the winners of this Regional search proved that their LMC mechanisms fully served as valuable channels for communication, information sharing, consultation, collaboration, employee involvement and joint-problem solving in their respective companies.


Applicants were screened and evaluated by the Regional Screening Committee (RSC) headed by RCMB-CAR Director Brenda Rose C. Odsey.  Other members of the RSC were DOLE-CAR Asst. Regional Dir. Teodoro T. Delson, Carol S. Tuvera, and Esteban S. Pomeg-as,  management and labor representative, respectively.
