In support to the President’s call for a smoke free environment, and for maintaining a Green DOLE, the Branch took part in the health and wellness seminar conducted by the

Civil Service Commission (CSC) and Department of Health (DOH) Cordillera Administrative Region on October 17, 2017 at the Prince Plaza Hotel, Legarda Road, Baguio City.

Dubbed as “One Bureaucracy for Health and Integrity: A Seminar on Civil Service Commission Issuances on Promoting a Healthy Workplace”, this one-day activity was well attended by Heads of Offices, Human Resource Management Officers and Legal Officers of various National Line Agencies and Local Government Units.  This seminar aimed to address the different issues arising from the policy on the 100% smoke-free, protection against Tobacco Industry Interference, Drug-Free Workplace and the prohibition on the consumption of alcoholic beverages among government officials and employees.

These health related issuances were adequately discussed by speakers from both the Commission and the Department.  They stressed the importance of keeping one’s self healthy and alert to be able to do our functions as civil servants.

Towards the end, the participants were left with the challenge to make themselves healthy, high performing, competent and credible and at the same time heighten their awareness on the existing issuances relative to a healthy lifestyle at work and home.
