DOLE SEADOs Capacitated

“This learning activity is very timely to improve the performance of our SEADOs and Hearing Officers. They need to  be enhanced on the different techniques on conciliation and mediation and be updated on the latest rules and regulations of the Single Entry Approach (SENA) Program,” DOLE-ARD  Jesus Elpidio B. Atal, Jr. said.

The Single Entry Assistance Desks Officers (SEADOs) and Hearing Officers of DOLE-CAR took time off from their regular duty  to attend the 3-day Capacity Building Training in Alaminos City, Pangasinan  on April 23-25, 2018.  This enhancement activity was developed to enhance  their abilities to become proactively effective in responding to the issues and concerns of their clientele.

Said training was a product of the convergence program where RCMB-CAR served as one of the resource speakers.  The learning activity focused on the review of the SENA Rules and Procedures as provided for by Department Order No. 151-16, s. 2016. Conciliation-Mediation Techniques were also shared to further improve their skills. For uniformity in the submission of monthly reports, the Reportortial Requirements were discussed in detailed.

Sample requests for assistance (RFAs) were likewise  provided for the  SEADOs to process through mock conciliation-mediation.  ARD  Atal, Jr.    and Med-Arbiter  Anthony Wooden, Jr.  assisted in the evaluation and critiquing on the actual presentations of the SEADOs. Updates on the latest DOLE issuances were also discussed by other DOLE resource speakers.

Twenty six (26) SEADOs and hearing officers participated in this training.
