Baguio City. Four (4) unionized establishments in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) were awarded their Certificates of Compliance (COCs) on Labor Relations on separate occasions. These companies are the Agrofood Industries, Inc., Baguio Country Club (BCC), Pines City Colleges (PCC) and Saint Louis University (SLU).
The COCs were received by Rodel Laroza, Union President of Agrofood Industries, Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, President of SLU, Ms. Ma. Regina Pratts, PCC-VP for Administration and Mr. Anthony De Leon, BCC General Manager. In their short acknowledgment speeches, they expressed their great appreciation for the faith and confidence entrusted by the Department of Labor and Employment to their respective companies. RCMB-CAR Director Gil G. Caragayan awarded the COCs.
These 4 establishments were assessed by the DOLE-CAR for having been compliant with DOLE A.O. 618, series of 2014. These companies have registered CBAs and with recognized bargaining agents. Their CBA provisions are consistent with or above the minimum standards provided for by the law and regulations and have existing CBAs at the time of LLCS assessment. Also, the provision on Grievance Machinery (GM) or similar workplace-based dispute management committee are fully operational. Further, the companies have Gender Sensitivity Program, Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy, and Work Productivity Program.
The COCs are valid for two (2) years unless earlier revoked or cancelled by DOLE.
