Benelita Linmipao of Benguet Electric Cooperative (BENECO) now heads the Cordillera Association of Labor Management Cooperation and Advocates of Voluntary Arbitration (CALMACAVAR), the region’s association of LMC-GM practitioners. She was elected by the member company representatives on June 8, 2018 at the Prince Plaza Hotel.
“I appeal to my co-officers and members as well, to continue your support to the CALMACAVAR. In this way, we could fully attain the objectives and purpose of our Association”, she said. The group immediately scheduled a meeting on the same day to plan for the activities of the association for the current year.
Other elected officers were Wilna M. Baoa of The Manor, Vice President for Management, Jaime B. Romero of Philex Mining Company, Vice President for Labor, Beverly Sara of University of Baguio, Secretary, Cecilia K. Pogongan of University of the Cordilleras, Treasurer, Lilibeth B. Mannong of Hedcor, Inc., Auditor, Vencenida Windylyn Pila of The Manor, and Aldwin James G. Ripalda of Baguio Country Club, both Business Managers.
Eleven Board of Directors were also voted namely, Dick Maslian of BENECO, Rene Balakiao of Hedcor Inc., Dexter Belino of UC, Esteban S. Pomeg-as and Warden Lapaddic of Lepanto Mining, Glady’s Desalit of PCC, Maribeth Tiongan of Easter College, Norma Mangosan of Narda’s, Fely Ching and Heidi Lamaton of Blue Ocean Department Store and Ferdinand A. Daguio of Banaue Savings Development Cooperative.
The new officers took their oath of office before RCMB-CAR Director Brenda Rose C. Odsey. The Director challenged them to level-up and expand their internal views and do what is best for the organization.
