Ms. Maggie B. Balagtey and Lyla Jane B. Tacio of the National Conciliation and Mediation Board-Cordillera Administrative Region attended a People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) assembly on September 7, 2018 at the Venus Parkview Hotel, Baguio City.

Dubbed as “Strengthening Human Resource Management Practices”, the one day dynamic and interactive consultative assembly aimed to shed light on issues such as human resource planning and acquisition, learning and development, compensation management, labor relations and organizational development and effectiveness.  Four experts, Oscar Contreras, Jr. (Workplace Planning), Federico Marquez, Jr. (Compensation Management), Atty. Ranulfo Payos (Labor Relations) and Orlando Zorilla (Organizational Effectiveness) sat as panel during the open forum to address these various concerns.

The activity paved way for personnel to appreciate Human Resource (HR) in the private sector. Also, it was an avenue for learning as different plights were given possible solutions.

The Branch and PMAP Baguio-Benguet Chapter has been partners in several endeavors bound to promote labor relations.  Established in 1976, the chapter has now a growing membership of seventy.
