NCMB Executive Director Shirley M. Pascual met with the LMC Convergence Team (LCT) of the Cordillera Administrative Region on June 10, 2016. The meeting gave the LCT members the opportunity to present their respective LMC enhancement plans and targets under the convergence program. New plans and strategies in the efficient implementation of A.O. 47, series of 2015 were also discussed.
Exec. Dir. Pascual shared her keen inputs for the realization of the objectives of the program. She also challenged the LCT to go the extra mile to make it a success.
In response, DOLE Asst. Regional Director Theodore Delson assured the full support of the DOLE Regional Branch to the advocacy of the Department.
Also, present during the meeting were the active members of the Cordillera Association of Labor Management Cooperation and Advocates of Voluntary Arbitration (CALMACAVAR), headed by its young president Christian Albert Licyayo. The Executive Director sought the collaboration of the group in the promotion of this endeavour. “LMC Convergence should start within your establishments,” she said.
LMC Convergence of Programs, or simply Convergence, means that all plant-level DOLE programs and services shall be delivered through one plant-level structure, which is the LMC or any Workplace Cooperation and Partnership structure.
