The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board–Cordillera Administrative Region (RCMB-CAR) conducted an in-house seminar on netiquetteon April 21, 2021 at their office in Baguio City. It led to the education of its 8 personnel on the rules of acceptable online behavior.

“It is important to know our limitations when using online platforms especially in disseminating our programs. We have to know the proper behavior when communicating with our clients as we carry the name of our office in any online fora,” Director Lourdes P. Estioco emphasized in her opening remarks.

Ms. Jammy Malingan, from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) imparted important tips like “think before you click,” “you are what you share” and “responsible sharing starts with you.”  The significance and advantages of government presence in social media and other online platforms were also discussed. Social media is a great platform that should be utilized as it reaches a wider audience, dissemination of information is fast or in real time, and is conversational.

Acquired knowledge from the seminar will be used by the participants to effectively communicate and promote the programs of the Board online.
