The Technical Staff’s initiation of a plant level consultation resulted to a conduct of a convergence program on May 21, 2016.

CANITALK Academy, Inc., an English as a Second Language school that caters to Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese and Chinese nationals, is the latest beneficiary in the Department’s continuous campaign on Industrial Peace.

Sensing the need for Labor Management Cooperation, Ms. Jobel Agtani, the school administrator, accepted the Branch’s offer of its programs and services.


Personnel from the different DOLE offices and attached agencies made up the convergence group. The Branch’s convergence focal team, Maggie Balagtey and Cesar D. Cacayuran talked about Making LMC as a Vehicle to a Productive and Quality Worklife and Institutionalizing Dispute Resolution in the Workplace.  Ernest Quimzon, Patrick Rillorta and Christian Carl Bulatao of the DOLE Regional Office tackled topics on Labor Law Compliance System, Promoting the Welfare of Workers and their Families and Creating a Hazard Free Workpslace.  How to Make Productivity was assigned to Manuel Z. Dominguez of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board while Compensating Workers in Work-Related Contingencies was discussed by Gil Datayan of the Employees Compensation Commission.

Ms. Agtani, thankful of the intervention, assured that a meeting will soon be conducted to create and develop the academy’s various LMC committees.
