This year’s Labor Day celebration in the City dubbed as “Trabaho, Negosyo and Kabuhayan”, paved way for agencies to come together and provide jobs, business and livelihood to numerous job seekers.
Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Trade and Industry and the City of Baguio partnered to come up with different programs aimed to promote better living conditions.
DOLE and its attached agencies, together with other government offices, manned their respective booths in the one stop shop meant to accommodate queries from prospective job seekers. DTI provided trainings should seekers prefer running a business. Samples of livelihood outputs were displayed to invite future entrepreneurs. TESDA offered free massage to tired and weary applicants.
Awarding of checks to various beneficiaries of Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration (OWWA) and DOLE livelihood programs added a taste of excitement to the program.
Finally, a wine tossing ceremony by all Regional Coordinating Council members declared this year’s Job Fair open.
